Read My First Novel

US Marshal Alexander Girard often mixes business with pleasure. What better way to get what he needs than to have a little fun while doing so? And, what he needs from his beautiful, sassy neighbor is information that will help him bring down a notorious mobster. What he wants from her, however, will likely land him a slap to the face and a kick to the groin. But no matter how much he craves her, he won't be deterred. He will gain her trust and get her to share the memories she has no idea are valuable to the government. When he does finally succeed at his mission, he's going to do what he always does...disappear.
CHESS MONTGOMERY has a wonderful life. She runs a success business (she can afford her half of the rent), has a great roommate (who refuses to do the dishes), and goes on plenty of dates (none to write home about). And to top it off, her gorgeous new neighbor, Alex, is finally showing interest. So what if her father abandoned her the night of her high-school graduation and her ex-fiance followed suit the night he proposed? The honest, fun-loving, attentive Alex is nothing like them. He’s a keeper. So, why does she start to feel like he’s hiding something?
When Chess's life is put in danger, Alex must abort his escape plan in order to protect her. He blames himself for making her a target, but he soon learns that Chess has some secrets of her own.

We peddle primarily in romance here, but with the holidays nearly upon us, it’s a good time to consider some genres outside of your comfort zone. Books generally make for terrific gifts. Even if you have some family members or friends who aren’t avid readers, the right book on the right topic can usually get them interested. Read Full Post

Romance Book Review: Captured Memories

Trapped Recollections

To say Zane has had a hard time would be putting it mildly. Thanks to his abusive father, his life turned to shit when he was just a child, and the only sunshine in his otherwise dreary days was Liv. Her and her brother were his best friends. All that changed in just one night.

Fighting his constant urges to dive into the nearest bottle of Jack Daniels, or anything else with just a little “proof” dominates Zane, until the sassy, spunky Liv pops back into his life. She gives him something else, something better, to think about. To do. Read Full Review

Romance Book Review: Company Ink

Double Dan

Danielle “Dani” Wallace isn’t living her dream. She’a salesperson for a struggling company, and not just any company; it’s SOAR, the company her cheating ex-fiance sold their software to. Not only has she lost all her hard work, she didn’t even get her share of the profits.

Dan Kelly leads quite an interesting life. It gets even more interesting when he becomes a VP at SOAR, and ultimately, Dani’s boss’s boss’s boss, or something like that. He’s as attracted to her spunk and dirty mouth as he is her physical good looks, and things get a lot more interesting for them both when they have to work closely on closing a major deal. Introduction and Notes by Dr Jeff Wallace, University of Glamorgan Lawrence's finest, most mature novel initially met with disgust and incomprehension. In the love affairs of two sisters, Ursula with Rupert, and Gudrun with Gerald, critics could only see a sorry tale of sexual depravity and philosophical obscurity. Women in Love is, however, a profound response to a whole cultural crisis. Source: https://www.amazon.com/Women-Love-Wordsworth-Classics-Lawrence/dp/185326007X
